I have to say I have tried to use PLR articles on several occasions. And I must admit I have very mixed emotions about this tool.
It’s hard if you’re using article marketing as a tool in your home business opportunity strategy. I have often referred to myself as “super woman” but even I have writers block sometimes and get busy with life.
So having the ability to have someone help out is GREAT!! Or is it?
Well here are a few do’s and don’ts I have come up with that might help you along the way and can save you from making the same mistakes I and many others have.
Don’t believe them when they say it’s original.
Do use Copyscape to check the contents before you publish it to the internet.
Don’t believe it when they say you only have to change a few lines.
Do rewrite the entire document in your on words.
Don’t just use anyone’s work because it is cheep.
Do make sure you test their writing to make sure it is compatible to your style.
Don’t purchase articles on subjects you know nothing about.
Do check out content source. Don’t be embarrassed by publishing something under your name that is completely wrong.
So some of these may seem obvious but even the best of us can get caught by the don’ts when life gets busy and we need some help. But for the sake of your online career and the stress of not checking these things will bring….consider the do’s very carefully.
There are some very good PLR sources out there and most are reputable. Those that will not give you confirmation that what you are purchasing is original don’t waste anymore time with them. And make sure you start out with just a few articles, so you know if they fit your personal style.
There are many sources for acquiring articles:
Elance.com – Craigslist are two I have used. I have also tried students at my local university. And you can simply Google – Freelance Writers, Ghost Writers, Article Marketing Services and PLR articles.
I suggest even if you don’t need someone right now check a out a few sources. You don’t want to have a really bad experience when you do need someone.

I don’t think it’s necessary to be distrustful of all PLR writers. There may be a few disreputable ones out there, but most of us work hard at our PLR packages and get very little in return.
Everything I’ve ever written is original, but for some of my packages, if you use CopyScape you will find some of my PLR articles published. Why? Because people buy them and use them. Using CopyScape is not a good way to verify their uniqueness. Some of the packages have never sold, but some have. If you buy PLR you have to expect that as a part of the process.
